--Mizuno Launches First Capital Ship--

After several weeks of consideration, a proper capital ship was commissioned by Mizuno leadership for construction. The name of such a ship is Battleship Mizuno.

"We had the funds and resources for constructing one and it seemed like the need for a proper battleship was growing daily." -The mayor of Mizuno when asked about the ship.

Having used the replica ship IJN Mikasa as a base (an article about it can be found on the CCNet News Broadcasting Center under the channel "Mizuno Gazette"), four more 14-inch (356mm) cannons were imbedded in the hull on each side, giving it a 6-gun broadside salvo with two dual-cannon turrets fore and aft of the superstructure. She is also equipped with two anti-aircraft cannons on each side.

With a proper flagship added to its navy, Ryujima is one step closer to reality; however, the cost of printing another ship may be higher than first thought.

"I underestimated the sheer amount of resources it would take to construct a capital ship. It's easily replenishable, but, as I've mentioned before, a proper factory for the production of the needed resources is a necessity. One is being designed right now; however, I need to find a good spot for it to be placed before construction can begin."

In the photograph, Battleship Mizuno can be seen docked in the town's pier. The mayor expresses amusement at the fact that the battleship takes up the entire pier and notes that a new one is needed.

Yesterday, the American nation of Floritania attacked and occupied the nation of Aztec Syndicate. Similarly, the Canadian Dominion has been facing a possible rise in tensions with Floritania as well. The leader of Canadian Dominion, player Greymesa, claims that the tensions are menial and not between actual leadership.

With all this in mind, Battleship Mizuno runs the chance of being deployed to America in defense of its Coalition allies should the need arise.
