Press Statement: For Immediate Release

There are four points in this statement:

1) The Severozemelsk International Airport (SVZ), will be closed from 2 January 2025 to 4 January 2025 to facilitate National Rail's extension to the south of the town. This ban includes any takeoff, ground movement, and landing at the airport. Alternative airports possible to land at would be the Black Mesa Foundation Helipad, provided the aeroplane's size is within constraints.

2) The Mayoral Office of Severozemelsk urges all players to exercise restraint upon passing National Rail's railways. It reminds all players to maintain an adequate distance from the tracks and to avoid placing blocks on and above any viaducts or trenches or else slowing train services down.

3) The Severozemelsk International Airport (SVZ) will open tenders to rent space within the airport tarmac for international and domestic airlines interested in servicing the Siberian and East Russian areas. Any offers should be directed to the Mayoral Office. All applicable laws regarding civil aviation within Severozemelsk Airspace should be adhered to if such an arrangement is executed.

4) Passenger services between Severozemelsk and Danzwig will resume with the effect of 5 January 2025, under the operation of National Rail. Passengers may purchase tickets either at Severozemelsk's town hall or through Discord. This rail line is part of the Central to East Russia line, bringing travel times down from 25 minutes by air to 10 minutes by rail. The full stretch of the line may be operational soon, provided adequate clearance from all relevant parties.
