10-15 secs is a lot but if u do 2-5 sec it would work perfectly

You might as well remove pistols. This would make guns completely useless exept maybe the Gewehr and the Springfield. As it is rifles can't really stop a charging pvper. So you have to switch to pistols, which already kinda suck. Why do you think there are still so many sword kills at sieges? Stop trying to covertly make guns useless. You're failing and everybody can see through it.

Let me fix your suggestion for you:

buff guns in melee combat
pistols should be slightly more accurate than they are and the 3 blocks close quarters glitch should be fully gone

guns are prover to be overpowered a bit and benefit geting people whit 0 skill to kill veterans which is kinda eh

melkron, the “veterans” guns kill are the nordic loka logons or the thracians anarchy crystal pvpers, guns will be the meta and will stay the meta as it was proven they are a great addition to CCNet, both through polls and sieges (which are actually fair now and not try to be more toxic and call more pvpers challenge, both sides culprit)

Removing guns again / rendering them useless and just a secondary thing will bring back all of the bad thing that ruined sieges. -1
