Making a seperate suggestion because the last one had actual suggestions get cluttered in the comments. I'm not gonna write an essay on why these nerfs need to happen, the arguments are practically known by everyone relevant to it.
Suggestions:
(Credit to turtle for some of these)
1) Inaccuracy of aim on movement: When the gun holder is moving and firing simultaneously, the fire spread should be more inaccurate and not the same as if they were standing still (i.e how it is currently). It's realistic and provides a slight nerf from a different angle of the current gun situation.
2) Sword disabling guns except side-arms: Swords should disable all type of guns except side-arms for 3-5 seconds. This reduces how utterly overpowered certain guns are in close combat while pvpers are fighting they just instantly drop players without time to pot
3) Slightly nerf either damage or fire rate of Machine guns: Machine guns are beyond unbalanced in close combat, you have a crowd of players at banner pvping or even gunning, you fire at the crowd with a machine gun and just wild spam it, enemies get health to the point where one sword hit kills them in a matter of a second or two and get killed. (I'm talking from first hand experience, i did this at the most recent siege, it was hilariously overpowered)
4) Reduce fire rate of pistols (basically all): These are also pretty overpowered in close combat and have a high DPS (Damage per second) and it's almost the same issue as machine guns, but machine guns are more OP.
-----------
The removal of gun stack damage and the recoil rebalance of rifles are steps in the right direction. Some or all of the above mentioned suggestions should make guns tolerable for non-enjoyers while still very viable and fun for gun users. The gamemode combat shouldn't rely on no skill whatsoever.
