Instead of seeing a ship get shot and turned to Swiss cheese meanwhile not sinking, imagine this. A shell hits the ship below the waterline. The ship will slowly fill, and bulkheads (basically just any door) will be needed to be closed to stop the flooding of other rooms. The speed of the sinking depends on the amount of holes below the waterline. If a chest full of ammunition or coal, or a furnace being used as an engine is hit, depending on the amount of ammo/coal, it will explode. If the explosion is powerful, the ship will split and sink right away. If this feature is combined with my other shipwreck suggestion, it would be absolutely phenomenal to historical events in CCnet.
