Paying more than 1k a day to keep a big town alive is horrible and needs to be reduced ASAP.
Now i won't end off there, I will give reasons on why this forces players to be active in a BAD manner.
The "burn-out issue" is revenant problem to ccnet as whole. The usual solution for the extermination of "burn-out" in a game is either adding new content for the players to utilize and have fun with OR allowing the players to not play for a few weeks or months and lead their new interest to come back to play ccnet. Forcing mayors to play 8 hours per month would help increase "burn-out" more quickly. After grinding and managing residents and going to wars, they would most likely want a break, but no, they have to play for more hours and since they have burn-out so much, it could lead to the town falling, which could lead not just them to quit but also their residents
A lot of ppl here have irl the responsibility and you are forcing those ppl to log on onto ccnet lifelessly. This kind of upkeep is just driving ppl away from ccnet. As someone with a unpredictable and busy schedule with college and school, it feel like a punishment for people who can't dedicate the hours. In essence this feels very harsh on players with limited play time and other obligations. Adults with jobs and lives have just as much of a right to own big towns as anyone else.
