So with the whole peaceful town status, last i checked it does make towns unable to be sieged and if they have pvp off they can't be attacked. The one problem i see with peaceful town status is that they can still attack other towns without consequence because they can't be sieged back. I do think peaceful status is good for towns who don't want to actually fight so i think a good solution regarding it would to just make it so members of towns with peaceful status can't attack players but also can't be attacked either.
Alternatively, what if instead peaceful towns could be plunder/occupation sieged sans explosions or ability to use cannons from within said town, allowing said town to be sieged for money if the residents attacked someone, but keeping the town from being directly damaged or fully harassed by soldiers as they cannot easily infiltrate said town or do harm to the residents if the residents do not wish to participate
There are plenty of ways to fight on ccnet, you don't have to use swords and pots, but even if you still don't want to fight and just farm/build the towny server can be accessed by clickeng on the selector at left of nations' one
7, towny is not identical to nations in every way -sieges
while i agree that peaceful claims need to be more heavily penalised, removing them outright rn would not do the server any good. (in my opinion)
Just basic things like "no enchantments", "no potions" would be a step in the right direction
