So the rules regarding CCNet related discords aren’t to most people’s liking and my idea would hopefully change that: Instead of any discord that talks about ccnet and is made of ccnet players having to conform to the server’s rules I believe there should be a message or a reaction role for any discord who’s link is not in the Nation Discords channel to allow said other discord server to definitively separate itself from the ccnet rules. Something like “This discord is not affiliated with CCNetmc or related servers. By reacting to this message you are leaving CCNet and it’s protections and joining a server under different ownership. CCNet and it’s staff are not responsible for anything on this discord” or something similar. In this way people can’t be banned for things like chat violations on other random discords even if 99% of the members there don’t care, for example the Wabbitistan discord, we’d rather not be moderated, anyone who doesn’t like our version of the rules is free to leave, why then even if everyone agrees to the Wabbitistan rules must we conform to CCNet rules, especially if we make it blatantly clear to players they are entering an unmoderated server?

I don’t think being in a different discord is an excuse to be an asshole to CCNet players, and I don’t think you should be exempt from punishment if you do your harassment in other servers. The only type of rule I think other discords should be exempt from are ‘advertising’ rules, sharing IPs ect

Advertising. You are asking for permission to advertise.

The ONLY reason you are allowed to invite people to other discords is because they're affiliated with CCNet.

Otherwise it's no different than "hey guys join the GarboCraft xat chat"

The reason I think people should be banned for their actions in CCNet affiliated discords is because some actions negatively impact the community. For example someone sending abhorrent racist ‘memes’ in the announcements channel of a CCNet affiliated discord (definitely not based on a real scenario btw) should get them banned, but a group of CCNet players sharing an IP for a pvp practise server does not harm the CCNet community at all, so it should be allowed.

I am not asking for permission to advertise, I just want CCNet to have freedoms in their own servers as long as it doest harm ccnet
