Torpedoes are a very lethal weapon in naval combat, several can disable even the largest ships, but they are very monotonous nowadays.
Yesterday, I glossed over a chat to find a suggestion posted roughly one month ago by a player named Tygameista3000, and I feel interested in the topic, and brainstormed what could be done in this regard.
From there I believe the tips can be a major way to improve on the torpedo.
Lets begin shall we?
***MOVECRAF TORPEDO- TIPS***
Firstly we have the regular tipped torpedo, which its outermost block is a coal block, no different from a regular torpedo of today, it would have the exact same stats of the torpedo we know and love/hate.
Next is the Armor-Piercing (AP) Torpedo, which its outermost block is a iron block, AP Torps penetrate one block before detonating, they are twice as fast as a regular torpedo however only have 50% of the damage as one, dodging a AP Torp is near impossible. But the abyssmal damage means its only suitable to kill lightly armored targets.
Next comes the High Explosive (HE) Torpedo, this torpedo has a gold block for its tip, HE Torps deal twice the damage of a regular torpedo, but they are half the speed and require a gold block, one of the most expensive blocks to use in CCnet. The slower speed also means crafts are able to dodge the torpedo if the pilot is skillful enough. HE Torps also are highlighted, which makes it able to be spotted by someone even behind blocks.
Lastly we have the Guided Torpedo, its tip is a emerald block, this torpedo is the only torpedo to be able to track its enemies and adjust accordingly, however its damage is that of an AP torpedo with the speed of a HE torpedo. Just like the HE torp, this torp is highlighted, which makes it easy to spot. Its only real advantage is that it tracks its enemies and guide itself accordingly.
Thank you for reading my suggestion, be sure to tell me any of your opinions.
