pilot signs cant be verified by logs as reliably as pistons

personally ive toyed with the idea of removing pilot signs entirely to remove all confusion

@Ineusia, Pilot signs are very helpful as a secondary level of protection for identifying who's is who's ships and preventing piloting the wrong ships. Please do not remove them.

its just not signs pistons are bypassed aswell it really needs to be illegal

Well sign logs exist same way like chat logs no? Im assuming its a way to legitimize Pilot: signs.

Also it should be a rule in general so it disencourages quite literally glitching through them and if reliable proof is provided(such as pics or logs idk) the perpetrator to be punished.

At some places its more common than piston locking, I wouldnt say its the most common way to lock movecraft, but it really does seem that way every port I checked, its either that or both pilot signs and pistons.

Glitching to steal ships should be illegal but pilot sign bypassing seems like the only legal glitch way to steal ships and I made this suggestion to finally recognize the issue. Though you're staff and you know your work best

You would think that sign logs would be simple, but as ineusia said they come up blank occasionally.

It's not in the rules because we hate pilot signs and convenience, rather we don't want players to fall victim to theft and the sign logs being missing (hence we encourage piston usage)

@KingStanchez if I have sufficient proof that there is a pilot sign on a ship then the perpetrator should be punished. Thats what Im asking for, shrimple
