you can use magma blocks for sulfate

Writing complaints in suggestions isn't really the same thing as writing a suggestion.

At no point have you articulated why this should be changed or implemented, merely that you feel inconvenienced by it.

Seeing as netherrack is an extremely easy block to obtain, I don't feel inclined to consider this suggestion without any further reasoning being given.

@Ineusia sulphate is important for many recipes revolving around gunpowder. This includes ammo, movecraft shells, tnt etc. 16 blocks / sulphate (3 gunpowder) isnt a good trade when you consider the fact u barely get a few from a full inv of Netherrack. The alternative is Magma Blocks which you get from Magma Cubes, however Peaceful Towns and some people dont have Magma Cube spawners or the process of getting Magma Blocks can be slow unless you have many spawners. Therefore I also think that Sulphate required Netherrack should be halved from 16 to 8 as it's the main income of gunpowder for new towns and new players and also new nations.

@Berry Peaceful towns have an alternative way of getting magma blocks, nether mining. Nether mining for magma blocks offers a low-risk-high-reward method for peaceful towns, likely to offer more sulfate per hour than what magma spawners can offer. Though this runs a risk of dying to nether mobs or lava, it is highly unlikely and could be easily overcome by investing a couple of hundred dollars in better tools and gear.

I do agree that the conversion rate for one sulfate is quite high, it could be decreased, but not halved.

I dont agree to be decreased even i think you should increase it cuz some people with a lot machines (me) can start making netherrack a lot without even stepping into the nether

@BlueFire28 The thing about automation is it makes things easier. The matter at hand here is for the players with no access to such. Increasing a material required for any crafting recipe because of said ease from automation will make it unbalanced.
