I have a fantasy where i can run ships through riverports, but the rivers are so bad i want realistic rivers because in central asia where i live there is supposed to be many rivers that go into the indian ocean after a large distance, please add these rivers if they go through towns just make them go around them and empty into the respective oceans, we need the major rivers to allow cheaper transport of very large volumes of items to landlocked towns

Very very difficult to change the map to do that, you'd have to either do it all manually or do it in worldpainter and suffer while trying to export it, deal with peoples bases, deal with the massive map size, deal with different y height of terrain

Alternative idea: Explicitly allow in rules for people to expand rivers which are important in real life, into an larger size in ccnet, for example, allowing people to expand the amazon river to 100 or 200 blocks wide, another example would be something like allowing me to recreate the Yarra River from Melbourne on my town of New Adelaide (Because my town, very confusingly, is located on Melbourne, and the OE capital is located on actual Adelaide)
