I am going to keep this short, sweet and to the point.
THE PROBLEM
People are being banned for killing or "camping" people outside peaceful towns under the "harassment" rule.
WHY IT IS A PROBLEM
- People are using this as a way to get their enemies banned. Even the people reporting others for this admit to this. They don't actually think it's harassment, they only want to get people banned during sieges.
- It's generating enormous ill will in the community. People are saying things like, "stupid ccnet staff, im actually done at this point" and "it got even worse once i quit". If the goal of all this is to stop people quitting, it's backfiring SPECTACULARLY.
- The people reporting others for this mock the staff for banning and doing their bidding, one of them has said he's a accelerationist trying to get people to quit so his nation can win and there can there be a reset. Most if not all the reports are in bad faith and could even be malicious. The people punished are pvpers that nations rely on, and they're getting reported and banned during wars.
- It's not clear that repeatedly killing others in a war and geopolitical server falls under "harassment" in the rules.
HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM
1. Stop banning people for this. If you go into wilderness, you're opting into PvP. If you can't fight them alone then you should get a nation that can. The server is literally called nations.
2. OR Make a new anti camping rule that's clear so that everyone knows what the boundaries are. I think this rule would be ridiculous and stupid but it's better than lumping it in with harassment. When I think of harassment, I think of sending real life threats or sending creepy messages, not killing people. Come on.
