This would honestly take the fun out of fishing rods sure it might be op but the only reasons you're making this suggestion because we can fishing rod people out of holes or leg cutters wich seemingly seems fun to unfairly kill someone when they trapped and you're in the leg cutter stop making suggestions to make your traps work 100%.

Having fishing rods as a viable escape mechanism allows both allies and enemies to escape each other's ganks

Of course, in order to "fish" someone out of a gank they must stand on the edge uncontested and wait for the hook to travel down some 40 blocks.

Not being able to use them while combat tagged is completely fair, perhaps not being able to use it on enemies as well, but allies who are in active combat should (imo) be able to be yoinked out of a dire situation (it's not that easy to do after all)

I have seen this used to get people out of ganks MAYBE 5 times in multiple years of blockwarring. This is not overpowered at all, have you ever tried to stand on the side of enemy ganks trying to fish someone that's moving around constantly? I have and I along with the 3 other people trying to fish an ally out of a gank just got knocked in and we all died. This is a good mechanic, it's high-risk but can save your allies from dying if you do it correctly. Also, multiple people being able to pull one guy in sync is unrealistic it will never happen during a gank fight at a siege.

This just seems like feature bloat I don't even know what prompted you to make this suggestion.

people just started using them. Ultimately it nerfs the offensive capability of ganks. People have their own opinions on those but I feel like just being able to escape to your own ganks is enough. Matter of fact if people perfect rod usages you can even jump into enemy ganks every time for a kill and have allies pull you out when you are done or if you want to cancel that idea. If everything keeps getting nerfed and removed then people wont be able to have their own unique gameplay styles and synergies in teamfights and whatnot

Overall it helps bad people leave enemy ganks and also helps good people jump into ganks for a fight and then leave

Ijust the reason sqnky got sent like 100 blocks in the air is because we had 5-6 players rodding him at the same time and we didnt sync perfectly to send him higher and with just 1
Person rodding it does nothing. And is it just me or its kind of a you issue that your ganks are fishing rodable? Think about that
