Why would you make a fort out of stone bricks is the real question.

If you want it simply for the light gray, just use polished andesite.

Polished andesite looks awful. Stone bricks are the best castle wall block (not to mention the most popular building block in the whole game) and has been used on nations since it launched

The same logic can be reversed onto the cannon too, if they wanted a gray look they could have used andesite

Then just use plain old stone. Why change an entire cannon class just for something that can be fixed with like 20 seconds of block replacing?

Id be more than happy to hire you if you can swap out entire fort palette in 20 seconds.

Does it take 30 seconds to change floor for one cannon? Sure. But its the floor for every cannon and since ur doing that you might as well change the full flooring of all wall sections but that will look awful. Not to mention that due to the current meta you need to fully encase a cannon so u also need to change the crenellations (covers at the top of the wall) as well and since that is now a different block you need to make adjustments to the full wall as well

Stone doesnt have block HP. And I do not want to change the full class which is why I asked for a "new craft" which doesnt hurt anyone just gives more options in building

Why not make a fort out of Stone Bricks? People are so unoriginal in ccnet making everything out of deepslate despite it being slower and more expensive energy wise to produce, which doesnt justify the deepslate bloat, its just slightly dark stone brick and it looks awful anyhow

People made deepslate forts cause someone was spreading the rumour that its stronger block HP and blast resistance wise. Then ppl just got used to it or were copying other people. Smarter people just fill the inside with Basalt since its the cheapest block with HP

Its not a rumour, it used to be the case but YEARS ago, like 2021-2022, its fugly to see unoriginal block palletes everywhere

it might have been an increase from 7 block HP (stone bricks) to 8 when cannons were doing 2 hp per shot so it didnt matter that much but the rumour still continued even after every block turned to 8 HP
