Currently tanks are not very effective against infantry, and infantry is not very effective against tanks.
I understand that tank machinegun exists but it feels very clanky because movecraft can only turn 90 degrees as opposed to real vehicles in real life that have a full range of motion. It is easy to just stand next to a tank and enter a stalemate. Tank can't do much to you, you can't do much to a tank.
It feels like movecrafts on the battlefield and the infantry are in two separate battles that just share the same location, and i think it would be better if the two would interact more.
Add RPGs, they should deal low amount of damage to a tank. Each player can carry only 3 at the time.
Add Sticky bombs, same but lower range and more damage.
Add a mechanic that allows tanks to deal damage to people if they run them over.
I'd say a knock back and 5 hearts of damage. Knockback should not be too severe, think creeper explosion.
Add a heavy machinegun like Maxim that deals huge amounts of damage and can only be fired from a tank.
(think rifle damage but rapidly)
So a tank crew could consist of two people if they have a machinegunner somewhere peeking out.
That way tanks would become extremely effective against infantry and infantry could also fight tanks.
