The Forward base, originally from Foxhole, would bring the same benefits that it brings in its origin game: Makes you able to respawn after death wherever the base is.
Mechanically, it would be an structure kinda like a cannon or an stationary Movecraft Vehicle with the ability to hold a [crew]-esque sign from an Aircraft Carrier, just that it would not be limited to sea and to downed aircraft pilots: Would allow downed soldiers from a siege to respawn next to it to avoid the hassle of having to travel to there again or having to set up a temporal siege town just for this very purpose.
BUT, it would come with a certain cost:
- This structure would either be quite vulnerable or be very sensitive to a part of it being broken.
- Would not be able to hold many chests on it, or maybe it would be limited to just a couple.
- Would consume an special, kinda expensive, unstackable item for each respawn operation (with a similar or even heavier logistical hurdle as what an stack of ducktape imposes, for example).
- The structure itself would be quite large, expensive and/or time consuming to set up. Or maybe just have a limit of (a number) per siege.
The idea is to make the influx of people respawning on it dependant on if a Forward Base can be properly maintained both logistically and structurally, just like in Foxhole.
Any suggestions to improve this idea or what this respawn item could be or how could it be made?
