Battleships were not implemented due to the immense strain that moving many of them would put on the server, and the lag during naval sieges is often unbearable enough. I'd love to see them in action as well, but the server just can't consistently handle them.

That was years ago. Now the server is very stable,it can handle the crafts. In my recent navals,I did not had TPS issues or FPS issues

I don't know what universe you're living in, but the server is put through some serious strain whenever there are a lot of ships moving, especially dreadnoughts. Battleships would be significantly worse, as battleships are almost twice the size of dreadnoughts and would very likely entirely replace them.

Battleships would be far more expensive than a Dread in special if you make a mexed size one. They also have turret cooldowns and not to mention they are very big. And I did not saw any Server performance droping that much in the last navals. Plus if the server Hardware would be affected that much,Zaify wouldn’t consider to add Them to nations. Zaify said he wants them in nation after we fix and discuss everything

I don't really believe that addresses the issue, and movecraft causing lag is still a very real issue.
