This isn't really a suggestion for staff tho.. more so for players to submit EOIs and actually want to do good as staff.. you don't magically get ppl to moderate a server, they need a certain level of trust, decency, and willingness.

This is a suggestion for the staff sir, I mean no offense but the "certain level of trust" is too high. The thing is about how many staffs members are active at that instant when something happens, I do not think that you need a very high level of trust to actually be a helper.

@ContDJ the "certain amount of trust" is not "too high" you can't give staff perms to randoms and surely you can't have people with no knowledge of this server to help others.

Said that I have to agree, imo CCnet is currently understaffed and overwhelmed by work.

I totally agree with this suggestion! I have the perfect fix, in fact! I suggest that myself and MRCOWDUDE become staff members! We are upstanding members of the community and can be trusted with staff privileges!

Like Taakot said, you can't just ask for "more staff". While the incident described in your suggestion is trully unfortunate due to the lack of staff presence during it, staffs are handpicked from those who submit the EOI by their abilities and skills as well their personality in order to help the community whenever it's possible, not being, therefore, a rushed decision. Not to mention the fact that it's an Volunteer work. They are staff to help and they do not have any monetary compensation, from what I know.

Trully it would be great to have a 24/7 surveilled server to prevent any form of "avoidable" unpleasent surprises like the one stated here and having an fair ammount of geographicly diversified staff member could indeed diminish this type of events.

However, like you can't create matter from nothing, you can't snap your fingers and hope the awnser miraculously appears in front of you. Nevertheless, you still have 2 options to resolve this problem in your end: apply for staff or use a simple command that allows you to avoid this type of agressive behaviours "/ignore (username".

Hi HI, sorry im a bit late to the party!

Staff are handpicked by the highest staff :P So it is really down to them on who they want to accept (+ they are already quite busy doing other things)

But with the required age of 15+, things really do pick up in life from that age, an example being higher education etc. This makes it hard for staff to be on all the time. In addition we are all volunteers, I personally am quite active on discord to lend a hand and respond to your issues, but i am not always there ingame simply due to the workload i am personally under.

To round off, "Get more staff" is quite a basic term, although getting fresh blood into the staff team is needed to avoid the inevitable disconnect between staff and players. Not just anyone can join, and there is quite long queue of staff EOIs to sort through
