the 10 minute cooldown already makes it so u can only pilot twice in a region which is already good imo, a better solution for this is to increase the time of shipcombat?

This could make getting into port annoying and still wouldn't fully enforce releasing, also 10m isn't that nearly long enough to punish you for escaping points freely, instead you need proper punishment proportional to the problem.

Tbf i quite like the idea of one ship per region, you have to really think about it. IDM if ship hulls are buffed to achieve this.

Currently it's who has more ships game and I guess you guys aren't opposed because you have a mega port, but my suggestion would fix this issue with practically 0 losses - genuinely what is the problem with getting punished if you release a craft in wild during a region.

I think you should always have a second chance to get back into the region. Enforcing a numbers game wouldn't make anything more fun and as I said before, just make shipcombat last longer so you can keep somebody tagged for a longer period. If they get out of combat then they deserve to get away. I dont know how long shipcombat lasts for atm but i think increasing it with 50% would already make a huge difference

As I said, this doesn't promote numbers game and only punishes released crafts. I partially agree with you, if they manage to escape into their own port, yes they should have a second chance, but just releasing should never ever happen unpunished. Also again, longer ship combat, doesn't properly enforce this, you will still be able to do it pretty easily.

Also if we really wanna push the narrative of extra chance into region, I suggested instead we could add halved points, and again this suggestion ONLY PUNISHES RELEASED CRAFTS, everything else is fair game as it should be.

Also an issue I see, is this would promote blocking each other's ports. If you can't get back into claims, then we always win. Also, you can't enter claims if combat tagged, same with releasing.

Not at all, infact under the current predicament you could do the same. Sink your enemies and then block the port so they cannot repilot/to finish people off.

The combat tag needs be longer.
