First of all I don't want to begin a war with anyone with this suggestion, I am aware I never participate in naval regions but I'm the money person in Thracia, so I'm going to focus this suggestion in an "economic" way:
- Prepping a port costs a lot of money just by printing the ships (around 20k-40k per port aprox).
- If you win (like today was HUGE payout) you get hardly the money you used on the ships and the losing side loses fully the money invested, making the loser side not "being" able to siege it again.
- The idea of regions is to siege them and have fun, if one side is losing money directly won't contest the region as usual making the input of money on both sides unbalanced.

My suggestions:
1) Increase the payout of the warchest and remove or reduce notably the money amount of daily payout of owning the region. Also divide the warchest per % of points as in normal sieges. (10k points in total: one team 6k gets 60% of the total warchest and the other gets the 40%).
>> Today that would have been around 50% each side, which would be 10k of warchest and wouldn't be worth to any side, thats why I propose increasing the warchest.
2) Limit the amount of players each side can enter region. This would work for balancing and also for some lag spikes while the regions are active. Maybe would need some tweak to balance the money depending on the amount on ships allowed in total. This one I'm less sure of

Yes ofc and it's not worth for us to siege anymore. Printing costs a lot of money and time. Also someone asked to siege more since you had fun. If our side doesn't siege, region is not contested and region gets removed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
