Make Armor unable to benefit from unbreaking, and add SF recipe for golden apples made with SF gold, and some form of easy way to obtain apples.
Explaination: Current problems with PvP in my opinion are:
1. New players basically being obsolete because they can not deal enough damage to actually treaten somebody and make them use potions, or straight out die, while seasoned veterans can quickdrop a begginer in matter of seconds, causing new people in PvP basically useless, one veteran player can probabbly win 1vs10 battle against newbies, im not saying skill shouldnt give you an advantage, but there should be some good baseline power level even if you are very unskilled to avoid new people quitting before they ever get good.
Which all stems from healing negating all damage that does not happen fast enough to quickdrop you in seconds, essentially making everyone who can not pass the certain treshold with damage useless, and threshold is high and requires you to mostly crit multiple times in a row without missing a single hit as fast as possible. With Gold apples in the game, you basically can not outdamage their healing in quick bursts, making the armor durability act as your new "health bar" which means every hit counts and you dont need to spamcrit someone to be usefull, no matter how bad someone is, you cant take more than 3-4 people at once because they are just gonna break your armor and you arent gonna kill them untill you break theirs.
this also fixes the second problem which is
2. Ranged weapons being impossible to balance effectively, because, due to nature of geometry, futher you are away from someone , you need to cover more distance to follow them behind angles, in practice this means, someone can move 2 blocks and get behind a pillar, and now you would need to move 100 blocks to get in positon which allows you to hit him again, meaning, ranged weapons can not keep hitting you untill you die , making their damage basically act as either ocassional "poke" (rifles) that is meaningless because of healing or oneshot (cannons) which is widely considered broken, with golden apples available, and item durability acting as a new healthbar, ocassional "poke" damage would linearly take away your durability, meaning it is no longer useless, because now the fact that you healed your health back doesnt mean you are as good as new, as long as you took durability damage, you are going to be able to tank less hits before your armor breaks, and therefore, you are in a way damaged for good.
Removal of Unbreaking from Armor is there just to stop pvp from being tedious and borng and very prolonged, it doesnt take that much time to break a diamond helmet without unbreaking.
Short Version: Add cheap Gold apples recipe, Remove Unbreaking from armor, this way, Druability will act as a new healthbar, meaning problems that healing brings will no longer be there and PvP will be more linear and easier for begginers.
