Actually was thinking of something like this recently, pretty good suggestion, the fact that occupied towns can participate in sieges other than their own revolt seemed strange to me too. I feel like
amending the suggestion that occupied town members can still participate in sieges against their own nation is better.

tbh i think this will just make pvpers hand their towns over to a builder while they nation hop to an ally to go fight

yes but that's not always the case sadfrog, but it's a more viable option as an occupation effect

real effects only show up sadfrog if the whole nation is occupied

sounds more like: we are occupying half of europe why not make a suggestion where they can't attack us, + how would a nation attempt to free themsleves if they can't fight in a revolt siege, sounds more of a suggestion that would directly benefit the GNE and teutonics

That is probably the case humik and also it actually does make sense. Historically there are many such cases in which soldiers from an occupied state would join to fight a separate war against their occupiers or other states and usually there wouldn't even be anything stopping them. Examples are the czech and french forces fighting for Britain in WW2 or Serbia in WW1 or the bulgarian revolutionaries(still decades from being liberated themselves) fighting for Serbia's liberation war against the ottomans.
It also seriously unbalances the balance in a war with several nations when one nation may happen to occupy another, tipping the balance where if another nation is sieged the already occupied one can't help it leading to the entire war possibly being decided in a single siege. In the end just needlessly restricts players and worsens the playing experience for everyone save the nations happening to occupy someone.

Idk man sounds like half of our pvpers is from thracian federation and you're trying to make this implemented so you can take rest of europe easily, and once you reach that point im sure it wont do good to anyone when theres no sieges or revolts, might aswell have 40 active players when theres no wars, and as i say during every suggestion like this, realism doesn't mean good, might aswell add rpgs and one tap snipers because realistic

It makes sense that occupied people can fight overseas
Examples:
Irish Brigade in the CSA
Polish volunteers in Haiti
Exile goverments during WW2 with exile troops
