So, for a long time now the naval combat on the server has been a bit lacking, fights are short and are often won by smaller ships as the biggest ships, like the dreadnought, just cannot keep up in terms of the effective firepower of ships like the corvette.
I propose to remedy this a few mechanics should be added/changed, all of these are based on what I believe most players, enemy or not would agree on in terms of balancing naval combat, mainly reducing the effectiveness of smaller ships against huge ones:
1. Increase the speed of Dreadnoughts to the same speed as the submarine. This would ensure that Dreadnoughts are not just sitting ducks against smaller ships due to their speed and the ridiculous amount of firepower corvettes can have versus their small size.
2. Like the last one, I believe instead of nerfing corvettes, we should buff Dreadnoughts. Mainly increasing the firepower limit to 60 to reflect the sheer amount of effort and time and resources these ships take to make and design, along with considering corvettes have half the firepower of dreadnoughts, which is not exactly balanced considering their small size, I think would widen the gap between the strengths of these 2 ships. I'm not sure of the exact numbers of firepower the Dread should have, but this would also add versatility against smaller ships for dreadnoughts as more types of guns could be fitted, perhaps with different types of shells as well.
3. Buff the durability of certain blocks, this was also in Humiks suggestion but I figured I'd elaborate on it a bit more, I believe terracotta, along with tinted glass and stone brick walls (for cannons) should receive a small but sizable buff to their durability on dreadnoughts, this is to make cannons more durable as well as making armor more effective especially in the bridge and Redstone regions of each Dreadnought.
