So why not enemies in sieges drop some item like maybe a redstone that says "player blood" or their name on it , then with like 10 blood you can buy a rune from a shop , the new rune might be bunny rune (gives jump 2 ) should be used on leather etc...

That would allow 2 player to farm "player blood" of such system by killing one of them several times without sacrificing anything in question (e.g. Gold Blocks).
Nevertheless and in my opinion, the rune/boss system could be suffer a development, such has new runes, new spawn able bosses or regional timed boss (something stated by Zaify to have been in consideration during pre-N2)
