Almost every war on ccnet devolves into a world war. This was bad towards the end of n1 and it's reached an extreme level in n2. Regional sieges turn into fights between GNE and Thracia even if they're in wherethefuckistan. I've been told that there are sieges where the original combatants don't even log in because all the fighting is done by the superpowers. Small nations can't conquer without being stopped by a massive coalition and having to join a coalition themselves. It encourages people to stop recruiting and rely on mercenaries or allies. It means every conflict will be framed in the context of the GNE Thracia war. Etc etc.
This is all great in practice.... if ccnet was a factions pvp server. It isnt... it's a geopolitical server. Location matters. Fighting on the other end of the world should be difficult. This isn't even a movecraft purist or "muh realism" argument, it's for the sake of localized politics. Long range deployments should be a gamble. You shouldnt rely on the same old pvpers teleporting half way across the globe to rescue you every time you're in a bind.
My suggestion is to make it harder to join faraway sieges by nation hopping and joining siege towns. There are lots of ways to do this so I'll leave it to the staff to decide which is the exact best method. I am too small brained and out of touch for that. However I am making this suggestion to bring this problem to the attention of the staff.
