Rich people don't spend their money on ruining the inflation they just flex it and use it to build ships. Most people on baltop have been there for ages i don't think nerfing silver will fix anything

If you compare the money total in /baltop you can calculate that 20% of the money in the server was made in the last month. Thats wild, If you dont see a problem with that, you're a silver farmer or want a broken economy.

All of my money (400k total) is not made from silver, nerfing silver will not solve the issue, and currently there is no issue anyway prices are lower then they ever have been before right now

I haven't played for a bit (+/- 1 week) but I have noticed an inflation if we take in consideration a considerable period of time (2-3 months), partially induced by silver farming. Whether it is for pure flex or for craft fabrication, the increasing overall wealth is a concerning problem specially due to the over-exploration of the silver mechanism as well of siege regions as it will induce an issue for a nearby future.
The main problem about silver at the moment is that derives from its renewability as well as the easy cost associated on both energy and resources to farm such. This leads to players mass producing it while considering the remains dusts adjacent as trash/residual production that is left forgotten (copper and aluminium may be exceptions to the siege supply productions).

While there are numerous ways to reduce it, it will affect more than ever the newcomers. It is something that staff need to consider for the longevity of the server.

Silver is not a problem at all, it seems no one has any idea how grindy and boring it is, if anything it should be buffed/an alternative even better money source added. (example: the trading stations zaify was putting fowards a few weeks ago, which would not be grindy, bring pvp and competition, and could very well be "meta").

EmperorRois stays on for such ridiculous amounts of time on this server you would think it's a job, he has higher mcmmo than players who joined day 1 of n2 and hes only been active for a few months.

Silver atm is effectively a clicking simulator, even worse what it does is turn very large amounts of energy into a decent amount of money, I have done the math, and when you account for the amount of time and energy, and even money it takes (if you are buying your fuel) mining may be better depending on your luck. Mining atm is roughly 5k/hour and not only is it more enjoyable than silver farming, but if you are a donor/excelsior/voter you can mine spawners and sell those to other players/use them yourself for an even larger amount of money.

Also if Rois was making 100k every few hours then he would be in the 10s of millions by now, so that's just a complete and utter lie, a fabrication you could say!

*I say all of the above as someone who silver farms quite a bit and has ran out of fuel so much I'm not even sure if the amount of time I spent on that venture was actually worth it, nevermind the amount of resources.

I mainly make my money through trade. Silver is just a bi product of the dusts that I use to make sf then sell. U cannot make over 100k in a few days with silver without ungodly hours of grinding and is mainly used just for a small boost or just for the dusts it also produces.

*correction u could make 100k every few hours with multiple men working and alot of very expensive machine. But if u got that I feel like u have put in the effort to deserve that.

I warned Zaify about silver months ago when he was about to re-add cobblestone into igneous processors, now people finally got hang of it and started mass grinding, however, i do not think inflation will be an issue, the economy is simply not developed enough for it to work on real-life principles and as far as I could remember, prices remained constant despite the fact that overall balance increased dramatically, so i do not think it can ruin the economy in future, or to simply put it, you can not ruin the economy if it is not there >:P
