A lot of new players leave the server because they find it too hard to start a new town and noone wants to add them to their towns, due to the trouble newbies can cause. (also to earn money you need a /bank plot that are only found in towns)

If new players would start with at least a basic balance (300-500) they might stay long enough to learn how to manage a town and how to earn money. Also other towns might be more willing to invite them in, because they could sell them plots.

Well recruitment isn't a problem in towny, since noone ever recruits anyone. Server is fairly hard and nobody is willing to pay extra money to give a new player a plot. It is by far more efficient to own a solo or small town.

Most newcommers leave after being denied entry to any town, or relising they have to spet 270 to get basic protection.

Only newcommers that stay are the ones I recruit in my own town (which is by far overcrouded, since I am the only one who actually recruits) and the one's I donate money to help them make a starter town.

This is my idea, to make the server more newcomer friendly. I do agree that, in this case, printing money could become a problem.
