Dear Rattly, I am genuinely wondering if you actually thought about this suggestion before you submitted it. Or if you were just hoping to make it easier for our side to win the siege at Shimazu. Whatever the case I am here to tell you why this is a bad idea; 1. So we remove it, Then they build a platform that's like 2-3 blocks outside their town and shoot from there. Yeah, I guess we can blow it up now. So what though? They'l rebuild it just as quickly. And if they fall in they have ganks to go to. Secondly, think about all the implications. Let's say I attack someone in the wilderness and they flee to peaceful claims. Well, now I cannot shoot them with my gun. So in Short; this would resolve very little while creating enormous issues in other areas.

I'm just saying Torque, they can make a wilderness platform connected to their peaceful town to bypass this. It would cause a lot of issues as well.

NotWeirdGuy is saying that this change would be easily circumvented by shooting one block outside the peaceful town. I agree. If you don't, look at how cannons are still abused around peaceful towns. That's with an even harsher restriction (cannons cannot be used inside peaceful towns or one chunk around them). The efficacy of this change is questionable; the downsides are apparent — if someone flees into a peaceful town, you would have to stay outside it to keep firing at them. So one form of cheesing peaceful towns would be replaced with another.

I think it would be better if explosions were enabled everywhere inside siege zones, including peaceful towns. Personally, I don't see a better solution than that.

the problem of explosions in siege towns is balancing with movecraft; the only issue of siege towns is the gun thing. One thing could be enforcing a plugin wise lock on siegetowns to be atleast 5 chunks away from a town + requiring every siegetown to be moved or removed and making a rule that every unp town must have space for a siegetown 5 chunks away

I agree with notweirdguy that change would solve 1 thing causing 15 more
