ok heres the thing about howitzers
the range is too low
the speed of the shell makes it impossible to hit any movecraft unless they are staying still still with a small chance of going off target
the trail basically gives off the whole thing and makes using it extremely cringe and dangerous
since you cant even pilot it on craft (unless using Solus or my warcrime designs) you cant even change location without breaking and building it again. Its just too much works for one cannon.
So heres my proposal:
-make the shell fly faster
-increase the range
-remove/decrease the smoke trail particles
-make it pilotable on trucks, but trucks can only carry 1

Here's the thing: they're not intended to hit moving targets. Nor would it be practical for them to do because of how they work

but zaify ive litterally never seen or heard a single howitzer in action since they got added. They are non reliable and just basically bad. The shell fly so slow that you can see it from a mile away. And the trail is basically a signal saying "im here and my inv is full of blocks come kill me"

And for them to be practical enough you need atleast 3 of them to kill someone because the sharpenel do cringe damage and they would be full hp when the 2nd shot comes

howitzers not really effective at anything but i might have some ideas to use them for (though the cost in both shells and gunpowder are kinda ridiculous)
