Netherite armour and netherite axe has been disabled in nations since the season 2 had started. I joined the server during season 2 so I don't exactly know what had happened but i've heard that there was a vote about disabling netherite armour and axe. Let's get straight into my point. I always wondered why the netherite armour and axe got disabled. At first, I thought everyone hated the knockback resistance of netherite armour and 4 extra armour toughness (full armour) since nothing was changed about netherite armour except those two things. But my prediction was wrong. The knockback 2 got disabled. Fighting someone with full diamond with knockback 1 sword would be same as fighting someone with full netherite armour with knockback 2. So I thought maybe it wasn't because of the knockback resistance. Now, about the armour toughness. Netherite armour will protect you more from attack with bigger damage. So, I thought this also got disabled cause guns will now do less damage to people with netherite.
I still don't know why netherite axe got disabled. It only does extra half a heart more damage (pretty sure) than diamond axe.
Comboing someone with netherite axe will make no difference from comboing someme with diamond axe. It will still deal about same amount of health.
But everyone, just think about it. Few monthes ago, netherite armour became extremely expensive to make. Requiring 24 netherite ingots to just make a full set. The only buff they give is only extra durability. Why not give netherite armour and axe their original buff? It is extremely difficult to grind full set and I do think that netherite armour and axe deserves to get their buff back. It's not like back in the old days when it only costed one ingot to turn diamond gear into netherite. It will cost you about 10k to grind full set and only thing they do is making you look cool and give you bit of extra durability. I believe a player who spent hours and 10k to grind full netherite deserves to get small buffs that netherite provides.
