could just smelt them into iron blocks or equivalent plus mcmmo xp needed for this aswell

I get that, but specifying the use of carb furnaces tells me pig want's the luck effect too

Iron duplicator

I might be being dumb, but how is that different from the current luck effect?

I'm pretty sure this makes no difference, it's just convient

let's say you have:

10 raw iron blocks --> x3 luck multiplier = 30 iron blocks (270 iron)
90 raw iron --> x3 luck multiplier = 270 iron (30 iron blocks)

So I'm either not seeing a massive abusable glitch here or "iron duplicator" is based on wrong calculations

The luck multiplier is a fortune based effect, at x3 luck multiplier the average multiplier is 2.2.
90 raw iron times 2.2 on average is 198 or so.
10 raw iron blocks is on average 22.
There is no 'duplication' if we only consider SF luck multiplier, besides mcmmo 2nd smelt possibly giving an extra block.... therefore an extra 9 ingot (a block) when it'd normally be 1 ingot.

That's probably what I was missing, mcmmo smelting does indeed allow you to get waaaaay more iron when smelting the block instead of the ingot

But don't you in that case have less chances to get that extra one?

Like, if you have a 10% chance and 90 ingots and 10 blocks, you'd get 9 extra ingots and an extra block respectively

Because from smelting 90 ingots you'd get a second smelt thing 9 times and when smelting the same iron in blocks then 1 time

Yeah you're right actually, so this suggestion is still valid and not abusable right?

That's what I think, I think the mod just did the math wrong, or I'm missing something huge still as well
