Zeppelins are pathetic in CCNet. Plain and simple. A single fire charge can bring down the whole thing. Here are some changes I think should be added to zeppelins.
1. I think that, since the are aircraft, they should have the increased render distance that turrets have.
2. Make the number of bombs on a zeppelin a percentage instead of a fixed number. It is totally unbalanced that a teeny 1000 block hot air balloon can have the same amount of firepower as an L-30 Zeppelin. I think that the number of coal blocks allowed on zeppelins should be similar to the percentage of allowed coal blocks for torpedoes on corvettes and destroyers. This will allow zeppelins to be used strategically.
3. Zeppelins should have anti-aircraft for crying out loud. Even the smallest of blimps during the First World War would have machine guns on them. Now, the number of anti-aircraft guns allowed on zeppelins should, of course, be very limited, but they still should be able to have them so that they're not as defenseless and pathetic as they are now.
4. The whole reason that zeppelins were used during the First World War to bomb London was because they could rise to absurd altitudes very quickly, making them untouchable by ground anti-aircraft and enemy fighter planes. Zeppelins in this server should have the same ability.

Admins, just like my dreadnought post, these ideas are meant to be separate from each other so that only one could make zeppelins more interesting. I believe these changes are totally balanced due to the sheer fragility of Zeppelins, but their lack of military use in this server is... honestly rather disappointing.

Zeppelins are used for transport (which they're very good at) and enabling of fighter jets.

So it makes sense you're calling them pathetic. I like points 1, 2 and 3 and don't consider them to be overpowering as zeppelins are extremely easy to shoot down and it would create some unique designs and new zeppelin classes. I do believe zeppelins should be vulnerable to ground and fighter planes as their ability to appear out of nowhere from a very advantageous position cannot be underestimated.

I agree. Perhaps their ability to climb higher than planes should only be for certain, NON military zeppelins; like ones that have 0% coal blocks for bombs and no anti-aircraft guns (if those are added). Thanks a ton for the feedback!

I agree with 1 and 2. 3 seems harmless but I'm not sure how useful this would be in Nations practically. I disagree with 4 — ascent and descent is already quite rapid, and allowing zeppelins to ascend beyond the effective altitude of ground fire renders them invincible unless you had your own zeppelin.

Galacticwarrior9, I think 3 would be useful so that zeppelins can defend themselves. Simple as that. As for the ascent and decent, I'm not saying that the speed in which they can do that should be increased, I am saying that, as I said in my response to Frambaby's comment, that certain types of UNARMED zeppelins should have the capability of flying above aircraft range. Not necessarily being able to avoid ground defenses, but certainly able to avoid interception by aggressive/harassing aircraft.

I think its time to move onto cold war era crafts for carrier crafts such as AWACS
