huh, I fail to see how sacrificing pot room for additional armour redundancy is something that needs to be "fixed"

care to explain as to how this is overpowered?

1 potion is 4 hearts at max
1 boot is like 30-50% reduced damage (i forgor exact number) that can tank quite a lot of damage.

how is this overpowered? reinforced boots has one weakness and one only which is durability, if u let person carry 2-3 boots at once u kill that single weakness too?? besides, 1-2 heal potion room is not as huge value as reinforced boots, if u actually played the game u would understand, i would gladly help u if u want

Apply weakness to the enemy and you now take 0 damage 💀

reinforced boots are already broken with other combos like Shield, or weakness arrow applying to enemies, health boost potions, and many more. having limit for it seems reasonable

Reinforced boots are unbalanced when the user is using debuffs like weakness, in my personal opinion boots with prot 9 should be removed

or you could simply just start carrying multiple reinforced boots yourself?

You "counter them" but it doesnt make up for the fact that now you both take 0 damage and just play on durability to win the fight. That same situation is why gapples were removed from n1 because the fights were based on whoever had more armor durability, and well the fact that its stackable healing

that's still balanced because then the people who use reinforced boots and carry more of them just have less pots than a normal kit pvper

I think thats the point of suggestions? Someone suggests what they think is bad for gameplay and then people vote based on their own opinions as well. If you really want the fights to turn to 0 damage waiting for someones armor to break then be my guest. That makes it even easier for less skilled people to not quickdrop and die and will ultimately make the game meta shift from swords to fully gunpvp

Please go read the 2nd comment in this suggestion, 35% damage reduction until the boots break far outnumbers the health restored by one potion. Iron boots have 195 durability while diamond helmet has 363 so you need 2 boots to be on match with diamond armor. How many potions do you use before your armor breaks on dia pot? full inventory. Does 35% of full inventory equal to 2 slots used for the boots? Seems kind of a stupid question to ask

They cost like $300 to make each for the ability to get 35% more damage resistance for you to survive and go back to repair the armor. You lose far more money on soulbound netherite sword so the increase in cost for gear is not that much. You also save some money by having to pot less often but that amount is like 20-30 dollars per refill

The recipe for reinforced boots is incredibly annoying, it doesnt mean its expensive, just the path to craft them is repetitive and annoying

on its own its not that bad given how netherite swords are already giving +10% more damage than diamond ones, the issue comes from the fact that you can stack up other buffs on yourself and debuff enemies to take no damage. Taking less damage might be better to make the game more noob friendly and less reliant on "pvp groups" but it also means its harder to kill people since they can just jump in ganks or whatever

that was us testing damage yesterday. i do 0.5 hearts of damage while he does 2 hearts. that means 2 hits saves about 3 hearts, which is the average amount of hearts u heal with 1 health pot. basically, it's reducing damage more than 50%, and after 2 hits you already justify having more than 1 pair on u because u saved 1 health pot. all this was tested with equal gear, except ijust had reinforced boots

the only argument i see for this is to just use it urself, which isn't an argument. if a feature is OP, then it's still OP no matter who uses it. it shouldn't be abused more to make it more balanced. no one would ever die if u are only doing 0.5-1 heart a hit, unless u fall in a gank which is already a pretty bad meta. fights don't need to last this long, and they aren't fun when they do, which is why gapples are disabled. these boots are basically like everyone who hits you have weakness :/

That damage in the video doesnt make any sense. Even if you didnt crit the damage should have been around 1.5 (0.75 hearts). There might be some messy stuff happening in other plugins which causes it to be that low because prot 9 iron boots do not reduce that much damage. It would have been more beneficial if you sent us a link of the whole fight instead of one hit just so we can have a larger sample. I will have to test this as well it seems
