I see the motivation for getting kills is sets, and the motive behind this change is to encourage new people and new nations as well.
Maybe to balance this out you can do some changes :

Like increasing the kill points in a siege to 500(or more) which will increase the value of a kill, and even getting kill points in the between the session gaps.

(or)

Making binding more cheap either by increasing the percentage of drop from rigani for making completely different boss just for binding, and yah also using only 1 binding for entire armour set

I might so wrong on this, just tell me your thoughts.

As said in a lot of other suggestions, if kills arent as worth now as they were before and need to be buffed there are couple ways

- Kills are indirectly already buffed due to the nerf in capping the banner
- Overall buff for all combats which includes kills and sinks of crafts
- Multiplier to all war chest increases which are kills and sinks
- Some bonus system that gives you points for doing damage, getting kills and assists in sieges, sinking and piloting crafts and such that can be spent in some kind of a shop to get sets, war equipment and/or armor trims that werent available before (and making trims unduplicateable)

From what Ive seen, pvp'ers dont really care about winning the siege, but winning their own fights. And the measure of this is usually sets for them. There's a certain prestige behind them, that makes these pvp'ers continue to pvp. Without that prestige from getting sets, many pvp'ers would just quit.

now dont get me wrong but, ccnet is not a pvp only server, it is an aspect of it yes but we arent limiting ourselves to just pvp, the gameplay loop is about conquest and global domination and massive wars to drain your enemy, not about an single pvper winning their individual fights to get a 1000 dollar set to fill up dubs in thier peaceful town vault that are never used again, the people who are gonna quit are the ones who came to this server just to pvp from other servers, they do not grind the resources, its provided to them by hand I'm sure I dont have to point fingers for it. these pvpers only login to fight wars and dont even grind materials or build towns or forts, the only gameplay loop on the server shouldn't be exhaustible daily resource grind to feed these players who can quit just based of a small change.

Exactly perp, also they don't use the sets they gain from killing others most of the time and they just rot away in peaceful town bunkers, they use whatever sets given to them by the siege base or the fort they are defending, and only bring like one or two sets at minimum to the siege. Only a select few actually contribute the sets they gain from kills for their nation stockpile
