Shields are a massive issue on ccnet due to them being heavily ping based. Ping already being a major issue on the server with North Americans and Asians having higher ping however the shields which are based heavily on ping lead to a major advantage for those with lower ping being able to hit and shield faster then those on higher ping. With a let’s say lower skilled European being able to outmatch many significantly better players on higher ping. This can make the pvp very tedious and frustratingly painful for those on NA ping, when fighting a shield spammer.
Ways to fix this
- have a cooldown on shields almost as if a axe hits it after you switch off to your weapon
-remove shields from pvp
-reduce durability of them
-add a sword which breaks shields
