Your suggested changes are a step in the right direction, however guided missiles themselves are extremely overpowered in the right hands. Ground and naval vehicles have almost no way to defend themselves like fighters and bombers from guided missiles except for anti-aircraft cannons, which must be aimed manually. Unless tanks and warships were allowed to have chaff or flares, this would simply mean that large nations could further crush any smaller nation with extreme ease. You could easily take out an entire convoy of tanks with inexperienced bomber pilots with guided missiles. Similarly, surface-to-air missiles haven't been added to nations so balancing this without SAMs would be a fragile process, easily broken by the discovery of new methods of attack.

Only issue is that air launched missiles are so bad your better off getting a trained bomber pilot to use bomb bays

To make it clear, I dont think lockon should be for anything other than for bombers vs fighters. Fighters are way to Op vs Bombers.

Catfesh, that is what escort squadrons are for. You shouldn't make it harder for well prepared fighter pilots by buffing poorly prepared bomber squadrons.

missles are not overpowered because 1. it does 0 dmg to ships. even if you can lockon to a heavytank it cannot lockon to an anti air truck also i think its stupid to nerf the speed. i think the flares should increase by 5 to 7 tho and make the flare dispensing faster. you dont even need SAMS to counter it and i have experience on missles since they were added so i have had many counters against tanks. heavytanks, dreads, destroyers, cruisers, cogs, other missle bombers, fighters, trucks (sam and normal anti air) and other crafts. they might sound op but they are not really, also fighters have flares which they can use but they have a limited range cause you cannot use a fighter 10 blocks away from a bomber and bcus missles can do 360 no scopes and hit behind i think there should be a fighter gun range increase if this is addes so that fighters can have more chances. missle bomber vs fighter is just really fast reactions and typing. you cannot lockon to a truck like i said so because of that they cannot really counter exept if it has bomb bays which still needs skill. i think SAM's should be added eventually but nerfing a little bit cus 4 SAMS PER LAUNCH?? You can destroy fricking heavytanks with that in a few shots (also done that.) i would want lockon back but make a firepower limit so that there will not be super bomber monster UFO's with fake VTOL which can just kill a tank or an ifv easily. my suggestion is that limit that bombers cannot have a 2 missle launchers and 2 bomb bays at the same time and your bomber craft should be atleast 300-400 blocks large order to use ''unguided'' missles and bomb bays. and a 100-200 can have guided missles but no bomb bays.
