Essentially the idea is to reduce the Artificial printing of money and overtime replace it with a relocation of money, it also creates a new incentive to own a region.

There will still be naval money, but the idea is to reduce it once we figure out the weekly AH profits.
With Terracotta being stronger now, it makes a lot more sense to reduce naval funding also (as ships sink less)

Your idea is good but the implementation part where it should in ocean region is very bad, not good at all

This could work if
1: Auction house would only work in naval chokepoints, Suez, Gibraltar etc.
2: The Naval daily payout would be replaced with like a 10% ah tax that goes straight to the naval regions owners pocket

Thats the idea, that way the regions don't need like additional money being pumped in and removed... it just kinda flows.

I do think, however, that this would be more frustrating than interesting for most players:

- We would see submarines camp regions to sink unsuspecting merchants. Which is realistic, sure, but remember this is still a game -- and completely lopsided combat of this kind is only fun for the attacker.

- In theory, players could travel in convoys to prevent this. I do not think this would happen in practice. First, everyone except a handful of nations lacks the manpower, organisation and willingness to operate such a scheme. Second, the value of most AH trades is not high enough to warrant risking a merchant vessel and warship (at minimum!)

erm zaify just readd the carribean, nothing made me happier then using a stick with my wooden sloop travelling the oceans to go to the ah only for me to check the deals and see 8 seeds and a stack of kelp for sale. So I go back to my boat only to find out I merged it with the island accidentally. So I swim back to America on my rowboat putting my controller with a paperclip and rubber band on the W key only for me to run into uneven water and drown.
