So the livemap is really neat in that it can easily show you where towns are and players are, but I think that there could be some quality-of-life improvements made to it. The map should allow you to make an account on it. This will allow the following changes to be made:
1. You and only you can see yourself on the livemap when you are underground or have tactical invisibility. There should be an icon next to your head that says you're hidden, like an eye with an X over it or something like that.
2. You can click on a dropdown menu and click on which nation you belong to (which is saved that way until you change it). This makes it so that friendly players and towns are highlighted in blue, enemy players and towns are highlighted in red, your own nation members highlighted in green, and people without a nation left as is.
3. Players that DO NOT have newbie protections on should have some sort of icon on it. This is so that the poor guys aren't harassed by hunters (not that... I haven't totally done that... moving on).
4. Siege progress should be displayed as a bar/number count by hovering above the battle icon instead of trying to interpret all the numbers given on the current menu. This just makes it easier for players to check up on siege progress.
There are probably some more changes that could be made with a map log-in mechanic, so please let me know so that this can have the highest chance of being implemented.
