THE ISSUE
As many of you know, the terrain between a Siege base and Fort can become severely defaced, with many large trenches and holes, reaching depths of 100 blocks at times. These holes become inescapable by ender perals and climbing picaxes. These holes are genuienly unfun to play/fight around during a siege.
Offensive sieges become harder to fight as the defending side can just create several holes, on the way to the banner.
As a counter for this I created a solution called a "Ground Scramble" which is a mix of several different block types to prevent the use of explosive tools to create these holes. However, this was seen as defacement and I was told to not do this again.
---Proposed Solutions---
1. Allow ladders and scaffolding to be placed during combat. (this will allow players to escape from holes)
2. Disable Explosive tools in siege zones. (This will give players who build these holes a draw back/slow them down)
3. Give dirt, gravel, sand, coarse dirt, podzol, stone, andesite, grantie, and diortie, Block HP 100 or give these blocks a massive blast resistance.
4. The same blocks listed above should also be broken at the same speed as obsidian within siege zones.
I have made SEVERAL suggestions on the discord to fix this type of gameplay.
