"You can only earn points from capping for a maximum of 2 battle sessions on weekdays and 5 battle sessions on weekends."
I think the cap limit per player is a really, really bad idea for sieges. Ik this is new and hasn’t been tested yet on N2, but something similar was on N1, and it was terrible. I have also recently played a server that used to have this exact same feature, and the same major problems exist there. In theory, this should stop players from playing as much and stops night capping, but in practice it is just the opposite. It just gives an unbelievably massive advantage to the side with more players, which isn’t a fair, or fun game mechanic.
I’ll explain why it is bad with an example. Let’s say 2 nations are fighting in a siege. One side has more players than the other side (which is normal), but worse strategy and skill. The side with less players is able to cap the banner a few times, but they already had a hard time doing this with the number disadvantage. Now they are incapable of capping because of the new feature and reached their max points of 15k. The side with more players can then cap while those other players are offline, unless the fewer players constantly stay online, which is what this feature is trying to avoid. They can make back all the points the smaller side just made and more. The bigger side gets a max cap of 20k, but the smaller side can’t get any more points, so they automatically lose the siege.
Basically, it’s a numbers game now and not a skill/strategy game. Smaller nations will always lose and new players don’t stand a chance. This isn’t just in theory, this is how it actually works from my experience. I have been on both sides (smaller and bigger) with this feature, and I can say they make sieges not fun for both sides. The side with more players don’t really have a challenge and it’s pretty easy to win, and the side with less players physically can’t win unless they stay online for a very long time.
